Busy Monday

We’ve had a busy day with classes using the Media Center for research today. In addition we’ve had several classes come to renew, return, and checkout books for Red Dot. We’ve taken in about 60 books today. The day has flown due to the amount of processing.

Students I’m still taking reviews for books that you’ve read the first couple weeks of school. Post a message to blog by clicking on the “comments” link at the bottom of the Friday 9-8-05 posting.

Students who've read a book since the start of school through this week. Give me some feedback. What are some good books you'd recommend to fellow students? Give me no more than 100 words of a review. Please don't give away the plot or climax.

Things to keep in mind:
  • Give us the title and author
  • Fiction or Non-Fiction?
  • What makes this a must read?
  • Keep your posts clean - no spam or flamming of others comments

Thanks and happy posting :>)

One aspect of my blog is to keep the world up to date on the happenings of the media center. I'll try and post something each week to let folks know what's going on down here.

Another feature of the blog is to ask for student feedback concerning books that are popular among my patrons. Students feel free to post your own reviews to books that you've found interesting.
Welcome to the blog!

The name of the blog is Waymouth's Window. As you know, I, Mr. Waymouth, have moved from the classroom to the Media Center. As I get a handle on my new setting in the library my old classroom website "Waymouth's World" will be retooled. Due to the fact that my classes were more geared to world cultures (Geography & History) I used the term world in the name. The blog here will have the same name as my new website; "Waymouth's Window". I felt the name needed changing as the content offered will be different. The Media Center is a window or gateway to the world of information, hence the term "window".
